“Bam Bam” – Burlesque and Sideshow Performer
Bam Bam is a force to be reckoned with. Powerful, mesmerising, tender and strange.
This dangerous woman will take you on an uncomfortable journey into a dark world of desire and unrealistic expectations.
Bam Bam’s performances explore themes of gender, fetish, feminism and politics through her interpretation of burlesque, sideshow and performance art.
Hailing from Melbourne’s queer and punk scenes, Bam Bam has never been considered a tame performance artist. Known by day as Amy Broomstick, she is also a prolific events producer and the Director of the revolutionary “Grrl Fest”.
Bam Bam is a memorable headline act to have, as seen at Found Festival (KINK 2014), Pride (NT 2014 & 2015) and the Midsumma Carnival (Grouse 2015). In 2016 she starred in her first feature film “Evil Fred” – (to be released in 2017) and hosted F.A.P for the Melbourne Fringe Festival. Otherwise, Bam Bam scandalizes her way around Melbourne’s cabarets and parties.
She first burst onto the scene with an award-winning season of ‘The Syndicate” at The Adelaide Fringe Festival 2014. The Syndicate toured around Australia, with a sold out season at The Butterfly Club (Melb), and appearing at Falls Festival (Tas), The Village (Canberra), Woodford Folk Festival and the World Sideshow Festival in May 2015.

Like a cocktail of Rock n Roll danger, sideshow humour with burlesque grace.” Lily McDonnell, Dr Sketchy’s Melbourne, 2016
“Bam Bam steals the show… with a little bit of sex and a whole lot of wrong combined!” – Aussie Theatre Review, 2014.
“Loved it … the best & most enjoyable stapling act I have seen in years and Bam Bam’s sugar burlesque is pure fun!” – Erik Sprague “The Lizard Man”.
